I dedicate this site to our people and descendants of the Boorooberongal Darug (Where the Red Kangaroo belongs and people of the Midyini)

For the memory of Darug Biyanga' (Walter William GREEN the 2nd) whom encouraged me to study the format of our written tongue. Wally' kept numerous records of the Dharug language in his possession. At our very first sit down my Biyanga confessed his understanding of the language and admitted having heard his grandmother speak it as a boy, realising that he had limited access to speak the language growing up, he dared that i learn as much about our Dalang as possible. Having compiled the language for the memories of our ancestors and in particular our great grandmothers and to include the memories of our grandfathers who are Darug. In memory of our separated Mudyin' we say Dumali' respect for your name Uncle Kieth GREEN your Dalang lives for you and yours Judith Anne GREEN-BEATTIE, Linda Jo GREEN-Wright, Raymond Kieth GREEN. A very special mention to Wiradjuri Elders Uncle Les POTTER and Aunty Dawn SMITH forever being understanding parents and continuing to guide me throughout the journey. Didjurigura Dyinmang Regina Dale POTTER for accepting that the tongue i spoke to her was a genetic and biological relationship connected to our Darug heritage, and for her faith that one day the truth would finally be revealed that our languages have never truly ceased to be spoken.

Our great grandparents are the distinguished Darcy WEBB and Eva Agnes WEBB (nee LOCK). Eva Agnes WEBB was recorded as the last of the traditional speakers of the Dharug dalang living in and about the Greater Western Sydney. Our clan of Boorooberongal, are Mudyin-ga Warmuli (Relations with Warmuli clan of Liverpool the Darug/Gubragal) through marriage lines. Boorin (Charley Moran was the leader of the Warmuli clan) The people of the Yurangai (black duck)and Mulgu (Black Swan). We are of the bloodline of Boorooberongal Iyura who lived between Burramattagal, Wyuan, Toongabbie, Mariyung, Bulwarra, Bula and as far south as Mogo, Woolongong and the Yillawarra.

At the turn of the century many of the families were separated from each other and spread across the area between Burramattagal, Blackstown and including the lands of the strong brothers Dhurrawal, Wanbanji of the southern coast and Thurrawal in present day Campbelltown, Bankstown and the inner Bidjigal, Gadigal, Gammereigal, and Gweagal, lands of the Dharawal nations and as far south as Mulgo Walbanji, Wollongong Wuululuwungawayu. Today numerous relatives are making continued contact and we are all speaking the languages of our ancestors. Living descendants of the Gweagal, Gammeray on the Northern Shore and Wungal.

Nam-brimbrii. ngaya yellamudie yuu yabun-ra dane iyura nuruwa, diya dah bannang. Let the rivers run - let all people be one colour. I am story teller and singer for people on country, this is blood.
